
IT Service Manager (m/f/d) – Global Tax Determination

- You are the end-to-end owner of the global Vertex Tax Determination service.
- You act as the primary contact for the Tax organization on all technical and service-related matters related to tax determination.
- You manage the product backlog and coordinate technical implementations based on evolving business and regulatory requirements.
- You are responsible for Change, Problem, and Incident Management processes for the Vertex platform.
- You define and maintain the service roadmap and oversee release management.
- You lead test management, including planning and execution of test cases for new features and updates.
- You coordinate go-live activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and stakeholder alignment.
- You manage external vendors and service providers involved in the delivery and support of the Vertex solution.
- You ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, including quality, information security, and data privacy.
- You ensure seamless integration of Vertex with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, billing, procurement).
- Familiarity with SaaS platforms, cloud technologies, and enterprise integration
- Solid understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and tools
- Experience in Requirement Engineering and Agile delivery framework
- ITIL certification is a plus
- Experience with Vertex O Series or similar tax determination platforms is a plus
- Strong analytical and structured thinking to manage service landscapes and dependencies.
- High customer orientation and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.
- A collaborative team player who can work effectively with global stakeholders.
