Through the Center, HFH aims to serve as a place of knowledge, expertise, advice, and innovation, enabling poor families to acquire adequate shelter.The Center's is currently seeking to recruit for aTCIS Internshort-term (paid) internship in NGOWorking time: Approximately 20hrs per week (flexible)Wage: 5€/ hourDuration of internship: App. 2 months / until delivery of taskABOUT THE INTERNSHIPOver the last decade, the Center has worked with over 100 microfinance service providers globally to make housing finance accessible to about 4 million families by making USD 6.5 billion available to improve their existing dwelling conditions by providing technical assistance services in housing microfinance. Through these engagements, the Center's collected a broad range of data and documents (research, studies, publications, reports, etc.). To improve efficiency and the decision-making process, the the Center's Financial Inclusion team intends to develop a Data Analytics Roadmap to support its strategy implementation.The Intern will support the team in designing a data initiative to advance access to finance for housing and support continuous innovation within financial inclusion portfolio of products and services.WHAT WOULD BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES?As an Intern, you will provide support to the the Center's Financial Inclusion Team:
  • To understand all data, information, and sources generated by / or relevant to financial inclusion team (mapping exercise);
  • Organize focus group discussion and/or any other interviews, surveys with all other relevant stakeholders in the Center to identify and recommend optimal data/information solutions required by the financial inclusion, aligned with its strategy;
  • Developing a data and information road map for financial inclusion, aligned with all other data sources and information available at the Center.
WHAT DO WE EXPECT?
  • Must be a University student in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related technical field
  • Openness to learn and ability to process information
  • The ability to analyze, model and interpret data
  • A methodical and logical approach
  • The ability to plan work and meet deadlines
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in English, especially in writing
  • Working time – Maximum 20hrs per week (flexible) in our Bratislava office
