- Servers, Routers / Switch / Cabling, UPS, Wireless, VPN (either directly or through third parties)
- Other hardware: first point of contact for end users, diagnose, troubleshoot, arrange for repairs
- Liaise closely with International IT to ensure appropriate and timely maintenance is performed, implement specific projects (e.g. tech refresh).
- Provide assistance to EMEA AO staff in the area of information systems and technology.
- Software: advise, source, install
- Liaise closely with International IT to ensure EMEA is compliant with global HFHI requirements and solutions implemented are aligned with global IT strategy
- Function as a business application system expert and business partner for other departments
- Provide system administration support for Infor Sun Systems Financials
- Provide functional and system administration support for SharePoint to users as well as manage EMEA SharePoint platforms
- Work directly on the development of IT platforms and tools, such as intranet, collaboration tools, office applications, business processes automation, Excel templates, etc.
- Provide user support and training for office applications such as MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook etc.
- Liaise closely with International IT to ensure EMEA is compliant with global HFHI requirements and solutions implemented are aligned with global IT strategy
- Participate in global, regional and cross-regional projects as and when needed
- Coordinate the work of outsourced providers for IT
- Coordinate the IT support work of non-IT staff in Bratislava, Pretoria and Nairobi, provide expert advice and training on IT related issues
- Support National Offices staff with IT related matters, software/hardware purchases, needs assessment, training
- Other responsibilities as may be assigned by supervisor or directors.
- Undergraduate degree in Information Systems and Technology or similar fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 3-5 years' experience with first or second level user IT support
- Experience supporting Windows Server O/S and WAN/LAN networks with Cisco and Fortinet hardware (Routers and Firewalls)
- Experience in developing databases
- Experience of business improvement projects
- Strong Server O/S System Administration, Network Engineering, and Desktop technology skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and software, including but not limited to Office 365 and SharePoint, Active Directory
- In-depth technical knowledge of PC hardware
- Ability to act as an IT business partner to other departments
- Ability to work within a global team and to manage a diverse set of expectations
- Ability to provide good customer service to end users
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong Communication skills (both oral and written)
- Understanding of cultural differences and ability to work in a diverse environment to achieve business objectives
- Flexibility and independence to work in a changing/unstructured environment combined with strong team work ethic
- Knowledge of VBA, HTML, SQL
- Ability to create and update database structures (Access, Excel, SQL)
- Ability to provide functional training to non-IT staff
- Fluency in written and spoken English
