With a footprint of 300,000 m² and a vision to produce 250,000 cars per year, VCK offers a unique opportunity to be part of something new and impactful-where your work directly contributes to setting new global standards in automotive manufacturingWhat you'll doAs a Superintendent Logistics, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of electric mobility with us. You will ensure that logistics targets are met while optimizing production systems, guide and develop teams, oversee department activities, and ensure adherence to company standards. Your role will involve fostering a collaborative work environment and continuously improving operational standards.
  • Ensure logistics targets (safety, volume, delivery precision) are met while optimizing production systems.
  • Guide supervisors, develop teams, and provide training through coaching, Gemba walks, and feedback.
  • Oversee department activities, manage priorities in real time, and handle personnel planning (absenteeism, holidays, performance).
  • Ensure adherence to company standards, regulations, and Volvo Cars Manufacturing System (VCMS) development.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment, ensuring smooth coordination with support functions.
  • Analyze team performance, implement lessons learned, and maintain high operational standards.
  • Act as a role model, promoting Volvo Car Group's values and philosophy.
What you'll bringYou will bring a wealth of experience and expertise to our team, ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your background in on-site logistics management, particularly in highly automated OEMs or suppliers, will be invaluable. Your proficiency in Slovak and English, combined with your leadership and coaching skills, will enable you to effectively manage and develop your team. Your problem-solving mindset and continuous improvement methods will drive our operations forward.
  • Bachelor's degree or above, with necessary on-site logistics management experience, preferably in OEM.
  • 10+ years of management experience in highly automated OEMs or suppliers, with logistics shop experience being a plus.
  • Excellent listening, speaking, writing, and presentation skills in Slovak and English.
  • Experience with manning and flexible manning systems.
  • Proficiency in process observation and confirmation.
  • Knowledge of 5S, Standardization Work, Quality Assurance Systems (e.g. ANDON).
  • Real-Time Management skills.
  • Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset and methods.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional kaizen activities.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Coaching skills.
  • Performance Management (maximizing engagement, motivation, and productivity).
Compensation and BenefitsMonthly gross salary for this position starts from 3.000 EUR.
  • The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
