This role involves developing data architectures, mining methodologies, and machine learning models to identify trends and insights from large datasets.By implementing advanced data science principles and techniques, this role helps drive informed business decisions and contributes significantly to Takeda’s mission.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop machine learning models (supervised, unsupervised, deep learning, and reinforcement learning) to predict and optimize business outcomes.
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from diverse sources to generate actionable insights.
- Design and implement scalable data architectures and protocols to support trend analysis and model development.
- Create visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate machine learning insights into business strategies.
- Independently manage projects and mentor junior team members.
- Stay current with advancements in machine learning and data science, applying relevant innovations as needed.
- Apply MLOps best practices for model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management using tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, or Databricks.
- Work with engineering teams to build scalable ML pipelines using orchestration tools like Airflow, Prefect, or AWS Step Functions.
- Ensure CI/CD integration and model robustness using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Integrate large language model (LLM) capabilities—including natural language understanding, content generation, and conversational AI—into business applications.
- Lead responsible AI initiatives, ensuring ethical standards and regulatory compliance in the deployment of Generative AI solutions.
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in data science or machine learning.
- Proficiency in Python or R, with strong experience in ML libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch.
- Expertise in machine learning algorithms, including regression, classification, clustering, and dimensionality reduction.
- Hands-on experience with deep learning and NLP, including building complex neural network models.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data manipulation and database management.
- Experience with MLOps platforms (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker) for end-to-end ML model lifecycle management.
- Design and deploy Generative AI/LLM applications using models like GPT or LLaMA to support business innovation.
- Business acumen and ability to translate ML insights into strategy.
