Jump in and join the ride!Let's introduce ourselvesThe Health and Safety team has the responsibility to secure the plant prerequisites to fulfill legal compliance and corporate strategic ambitions within the work environment, including occupational health, safety, and wellbeing program. The role works closely with project teams as well as local plant functions such as Plant Engineering and Facility Management, ensuring alignment between global standards and local operational needs.Location: Valaliky Industrial Park, Kosice district, SlovakiaWhat you'll do
  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Follow the organization's HSE policies and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of self and others in the workplace;
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to integrate safety principles and legal requirements into workspace design, and develop and implement programs to prevent environmental issues, injuries, and health impairment;
  • Identify patterns of risky behavior within the organization and take appropriate action to resolve them, escalating serious issues as appropriate;
  • Deliver safety-related instructions and risk analysis;
  • Deliver safety training sessions and workshops for employees and leaders to ensure a high level of preventive mindset;
  • Regulatory and Compliance Management: Investigate all kinds of incidents and reports and provide expert advice to more senior colleagues, minimize risk exposures and ensure adherence with regulatory standards by working with all internal functions to make sure compliance programs are properly implemented;
  • Audit Compliance: Deliver audit assignments in nominated client areas, develop individual audit plans and detailed scope, deliver the fieldwork, report findings and opinions, agree on corrective actions with auditees, and refer serious or contentious issues to the lead auditor;
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in the Health & Safety area to continuously improve processes and solutions;
  • Learn and take impressions from other plants within Volvo Cars;
  • Support Health and Safety Manager, Plant and Project teams in topics related to Health and Safety.
What you'll bring
  • Documented qualification and legally required authorization in the Health & Safety area;
  • Several years of previous working experience in a similar role, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing setting in an international company;
  • Knowledge of Slovak legislation in the field of health, safety, and work environment;
  • Preferred University education: Environmental Science, Safety, Chemical, Manufacturing engineering, or equivalent;
  • Experience with Logistics processes is an advantage;
  • Fluent in English and Slovak, both written and spoken;
  • Proactivity and a continuous improvement mindset;
  • Not only an individual contributor attitude, but also an ability to work within a multinational team;
  • Ability to think and act operationally;
  • Communication and presenting skills.
Compensation DataBase Monthly Salary (Gross) for this position starts from 2.000 EUR.
  • The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
