- Provide hands-on application support and troubleshooting for business-critical applications
- Directly resolve complex application incidents and problems requiring senior expertise
- Perform application configurations, customizations, and technical implementations
- Conduct hands-on application performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization
- Execute technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis for critical issues
- Perform application testing, validation, and quality assurance activities
- Handle escalated application issues from team members
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical application support
- Maintain hands-on technical expertise across key business applications
- Work directly with end-users to understand and resolve application issues
- Perform application upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities
- Ensure application SLAs are met through direct involvement when needed
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with business stakeholders across all business units
- Understand business processes, challenges, and requirements through regular engagement
- Translate business needs into technical solutions and requirements
- Conduct regular business review meetings and provide service reporting
- Proactively identify business opportunities for technology enablement
- Lead change management and user adoption support for application initiatives

- Act as trusted advisor to business units on technology solutions and application strategy
- Define application solution architecture for new systems and major enhancements
- Provide application architecture design and governance across the portfolio
- Design integration architecture ensuring seamless connectivity between systems
- Review and approve solution designs, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture
- Conduct technical feasibility assessments for business requirements
- Establish architecture standards and best practices for applications
- Evaluate technology stacks and provide recommendations
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Security & Compliance Lead for architecture approval
- Oversee project management for major business solutions (ERP, Order & Dispatch, etc.) via Danucem PMOs
- Ensure program and project planning, execution, and delivery meet business objectives
- Manage stakeholder engagement for transformation projects
- Provide project governance, reporting, and risk management oversight
- Coordinate resources and project teams for successful delivery
- Lead change management for major business solution rollouts
- Track benefits realization and post-implementation support
- Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of critical business transformation projects
- Maintain comprehensive application inventory with ownership, costs, and lifecycle status
- Manage application lifecycle from acquisition to retirement
- Identify application rationalization and consolidation opportunities
- Optimize license management and reduce application costs
- Track and optimize application costs across the portfolio
- Assess technology stack and plan modernisation initiatives
- Conduct application risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
- Develop annual application roadmap aligned with business strategy
- Manage strategic application vendor relationships
- Lead contract negotiation and management for application vendors
- Monitor vendor performance and enforce SLAs
- Manage vendor escalations and issue resolution
- Evaluate and select technology vendors for applications
- Coordinate proof-of-concept activities with vendors
- Ensure vendor roadmaps align with business needs
- Lead, mentor, and develop team of 5 application professionals
- Balance hands-on technical work with team development and delegation
- Build application support competencies across the team through coaching and mentoring
- Foster continuous learning and professional development
- Conduct performance management and career development discussions
- Implement succession planning for critical application knowledge
- Create individual development plans with quarterly reviews

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
- Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in IT, with at least 5 years in application support or business systems
- Proven hands-on technical expertise in application support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
- Minimum 3 years of team leadership experience managing application or technical teams
- Demonstrated experience as a working manager balancing hands-on technical work with leadership
- Proven experience in business relationship management and stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrated experience in solution architecture for business applications
- Experience managing major business solution implementations (ERP, CRM, or similar)
- Experience with application portfolio management and rationalization
- Experience in PMO oversight or project management for IT projects
- Experience working in multi-country or international environments preferred
- Manufacturing or industrial sector experience highly desirable
- Experience working in lean IT teams where hands-on contribution is essential
- Strong hands-on technical skills in application support and troubleshooting
- Deep understanding of application architecture and design patterns
- Hands-on experience with application configuration, customization, and implementation
- Practical knowledge of integration architecture and API management
- Hands-on experience with SAP ERP systems
- Practical experience with database management and SQL
- Understanding of cloud platforms and SaaS applications
- Knowledge of application development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
- Hands-on experience with application monitoring and performance tuning tools
- Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles for applications
- Experience with application portfolio management tools
- Ability to quickly learn and support new applications
