From 1 900 EUR/monthInformation about the positionJob description, responsibilities and dutiesAre you passionate about HR and ready to contribute to a global organization dedicated to building a world where everyone has a decent place to live?Habitat for Humanity International is seeking an HR Specialist to play a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our HR functions.Please note, that this position is parental leave cover, based in Bratislava, Slovakia and requires 10% travel.What would be your responsibilities?
- Manage all aspects of employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry and maintenance of employee records.
- Provide relevant documents to payroll and manage employee benefits.
- Advise on and ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Prepare personnel cost calculations for various grants.
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Support employee well-being initiatives.
- Coordinate health check-ups and serve as a point of contact for safety and security at workplace
- Oversee the background check process for new hires
- Research on current and future HR trends
- Work-Life balance: 40 hours a week with Alternative Work Schedule providing some degree of flexibility on how long, where, and when you work.

- University degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
- Fluency in English and Slovak.
- Up to 5 years of relevant HR experience
- Experience within an international NGO or development organization is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Slovak Labor Law and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
