Don't miss this chance to join and support digital innovation for a global leader in heavy machinery!What will you do?As a DevOps Engineer at Cat Digital's Slovakian branch, you will have the opportunity to build products Caterpillar’s digital products and contribute to design, testing and deployment of our tools and applications as well as:
  • Work on complex systems or infrastructure components.
  • Solve technical problems and identify resolution in cloud environment.
  • Drive development, focused around delivering cloud services and tools.
  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team.
This position works directly with Slovakia based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT in the US.What you have:
  • Strong knowledge of software product lifecycles and the ability to design, configure, and integrate technical solutions across those lifecycles.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Relevant degree in Computer Science or similar field.
  • Experience in supporting and deploying software using public clouds such as AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions and/or others.
  • Practical experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, as well as configuration management or deployment tools like Puppet, Chef, or equivalent.
  • Working within an Agile framework (ideally Scrum).
Top Candidates will also have:
  • Experience with API proxies on platforms such as Apigee Edge, AWS API Gateway or Azure API Gateway .
  • Basic knowledge of API tools such as Swagger, Postman and Assertible.
  • Datastores such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, Elasticsearch, MySQL, Oracle.
