Job description, responsibilities and duties
The Project Administration Officer provides administrative and communications support to core and project activities. This position offers the chance to work in a mission-driven international environment and collaborate with diverse teams, with opportunities for professional growth.The position is based in the office of the Regional Secretariat, located at the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute in Bratislava, Slovakia.REPORTS TO: Regional Coordinator
LOCATION: Bratislava, Slovakia (hybrid work possible). Entails occasional travel.SPECIFIC DUTIES1. Project Coordination and AdministrationSupport preparation and management of project agreements and related administrative tasksCoordinate project-related events, including invitations, logistics, and transportSupport the preparation of project reports as relevantProcess payment requests and project expensesCoordinate outsourcing of selected services e.g. editorial/writing, translations, design, composition and printing when neededContribute to the implementation of project activities related to communication, dissemination, and stakeholder engagement2. Communications and Knowledge ManagementDevelop, write, and edit material on the activities of GWP CEE, including bi-monthly reports, web articles, social media posts, press releases, presentations, etc.Liaise with project managers, Country Water Partnerships, and project partnersMaintain GWP CEE social media and websiteContribute to the organisation of GWP CEE events, including agenda preparation, liaison with participants and speakers, note-taking, and reportingRequirements for the employee

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEFirst degree in communications, public relations, information and communication technology, natural resource management, or other relevant disciplineStrong written and oral communication skills in English. Knowledge of other CEE languages is an advantageAt least 2 years of experience in communications and/or project administrationAbility to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with excellent organisational skillsService-oriented work style, with strong interpersonal skills, able to work effectively and harmoniously at all levelsAbility to work in a multicultural environment and to interact positively with a wide range of stakeholders in an international, regional, and national contextFlexible and creative, with good analytical skillsExperience with software such as Office 365DESIRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in an international environment, on water and/or environmental issues, or in communication activities for EU-funded or other projects with international donors are an advantageDemonstrated experience in the development of communication materials (web, social media, press releases, publications and reports, etc.)Experience in reporting for a range of audiences, including governments, policy makers, multilateral agencies and the publicKnowledge of current developments in related fields, especially water management, is an assetAdvertiser

The Global Water Partnership (GWP) is a global action network of partners supporting countries and regions in the sustainable development and management of water and related resources worldwide. The GWP network is supported by a global secretariat (Global Water Partnership Organisation (GWPO), which an intergovernmental organization based in Sweden), 13 Regional Water Partnerships, and 76 Country Water Partnerships. GWP Central and Eastern Europe (GWP CEE) is a Regional Water Partnership, bringing together GWP network partners in the Region. GWP CEE operates as a civic association registered in Slovakia and its Regional Secretariat is managed by a Regional Coordinator.GWP CEE implements core activities supported by GWPO as well as projects (e.g. Horizon, Interreg programme).
