We are part of Swiss Re's P&C Digital & Technology Re organization and are looking for an enthusiastic AI Engineer who is passionate about applying cutting-edge AI techniques to complex, real-world risk challenges. We build global AI-driven products that support underwriting, pricing, claims, and risk management across Property & Casualty Reinsurance.While we value a strong foundation in machine learning, we place equal emphasis on robust engineering practices, scalable cloud-native infrastructure, and deploying AI solutions into reliable production systems.If you join us, you will be able to participate in a variety of impactful initiatives. Design and deploy AI solutions to extract insights from complex underwriting and claims documents using Generative AI
Build and operationalize machine learning models supporting risk selection, pricing, and portfolio steering
Develop AI tools to help automate and make our business more efficient

A degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field
Proficiency in Python (or similar languages) and familiarity with modern AI/ML frameworks
Solid understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and MLOps practices
Strong engineering mindset and appreciation for clean, maintainable, production-ready code

It is a strong plus if you also have:

Experience deploying AI systems into production environments, including monitoring, observability, and lifecycle management
Experience working with large-scale data pipelines and distributed systems
Experience in Generative AI, Natural Language Processing, or document intelligence
Interest in AI robustness, explainability, governance, and secure model deployment
Exposure to Insurance or Reinsurance, particularly in Property & Casualty a plus but not required
