The Business Analyst ensures the liaison between the business side and the IT side of an IT project. The Business Analyst is knowledgeable in the business and in the applications of his area and bridges both. The Business Analyst is responsible for the analysis and all related documentation for his allocated IT projects. The Business Analyst defines how the scope of the IT project will be implemented within the existing applications, working closely with the software development team. His role includes establishing and maintaining strong regional relations for knowledge sharing and activities to achieve synergy with other BAs in the region, as well as with business units and regional/group teams.Responsibilities and duties
- Bridges business and IT solutions, manages business relations with stakeholders (including key users, lab managers, and business unit managers) on IT initiatives to ensure successful implementation.
- Lead deployment of Group IT Solutions.
- Travels to laboratories in the region upon request or if necessary.
- Manages and tracks all project requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate developers to build and implement technology solutions.
- Monitors project progress, recommends actions.
- Delivers simple solutions, by creating ad hoc SQL queries, calculations, changing the layout of simple reports.
- Participates in software configuration tasks, maintains data dictionaries.
- Mange data collection and migration to new IT solutions
- Verifies the developed functionalities against the acceptance criteria of the requirements (user stories and case studies).
- Trains customers and end-users on the new systems and provides support.

University education (Master's degree)Educational Specialization
- Educational background in the fields of chemistry/microbiology or information technologies (IT)
- Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modelling, verification, and methodology development.
- Experience aligning IT with business initiatives.
- Experience in project coordination and project management.
- Proficiency in the appropriate software (Laboratory Information Management Systems - LIMS) for the position.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong customer service orientation
