- Serves as the operational backbone of Bruegel energy and climate team, facilitating internal coordination of the team and external coordination among the various teams at Bruegel (Communications and Events, Operations, HR).
- Supports the planning and execution of Bruegel energy and climate work.
- Contributes ideas for partnerships, visibility opportunities, and new initiatives.
- Supports Senior Fellows (Programme Leaders) in coordinating their travel agendas, and engagement with key stakeholders.
- Assists in preparing project proposals, grant applications, and funding reports.
- Supports the organisation of public events, closed-door roundtables, high-level dinners and breakfast events in Brussels and beyond in liaison with the Events team.
- Oversees budgeting, financial planning, and reporting relevant to the E&C programme.
- Monitors project timelines and ensure timely delivery of outputs.
- Manages contractual and logistical aspects of partnerships and funding agreements.
- Liaises with external stakeholders, including EU institutions, national governments, industry, academia, and civil society.
- Supports public speaking engagements of the E&C Programme team, helping with slides preparation, speaking notes etc.
- Supports the dissemination of research outputs, including through targeted outreach to relevant stakeholders.
- Master's degree in economics, business; political sciences; international affairs or related fields.
- Superior organisation and planning skills, including decision-making, problem-solving, project management and risk assessment.
- Excellent communication, writing and proofreading skills in English (drafting proposals, reports, emails, briefs).
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and a large portfolio of funding opportunities and projects.
- Proficiency in Excel, familiarity with other PM tools is an asset.
- Understanding of energy and climate economic topics/terminology is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Discretion in dealing with confidential matters.
- Team player with a positive and collaborative attitude
