Start date: by agreementAbout the role:This role leads complex, high visibility initiatives across Convatec’s External Manufacturing network, acting as the project manager behind supplier development, network optimization, and cost out projects. The position balances strategic leadership with hands‑on project discipline. The role requires tight coordination across Procurement, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Finance to turn ambiguous business needs into executable, controlled project plans.Your key duties and responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a portfolio of high‑impact projects across the External Manufacturing network, ensuring delivery of scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets.
- Drive stakeholder alignment, resolving conflicts, clarifying ownership, and ensuring seamless integration between internal teams and third‑party manufacturers.
- Own cross‑functional project planning, facilitating workshops to build complete project packages (charter, scope, timelines, budgets, risks, RACI, comms plans).
- Oversee execution of complex transitions, such as outsourcing/insourcing, supplier transfers, and new product introductions with external partners.
- Run structured governance routines to surface risks, escalations, and decision needs.
- Identify cost‑out opportunities across suppliers and lead initiatives in automation, productivity improvement, and value engineering.
- Coordinate with cross-functional partners to align project decisions with business strategy and operational realities.
- Ensure risk management discipline, maintaining risk registers, mitigation plans, and scenario‑based recovery strategies.
- Act as the primary liaison to senior leadership, providing crisp updates, data‑driven recommendations, and escalation pathways.
- Support external manufacturing governance, including readiness checks, change management, and supplier‑driven project oversight.
- Champion standard work and project management best practices, reinforcing documentation quality, reporting standards, and PM discipline across the network.
