General Ledger Accountant

• Preparation and review of financial statements and accounts reconciliation;
• Preparation and posting of journal entries ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP / HGB / IFRS) while focusing on fixed and financial assets, equity, accruals and provisions, shareholders, and external loans;
• Reconciliation of balance sheet and P&L accounts on monthly basis;
• Assisting in the month-end and year-end close;
• Preparation of monthly or quarterly VAT files;
• Analyzing, validating, and uploading financial data (e.g., tenant accounting);
• Responsibility for the timely preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports according to HGB or IFRS in close cooperation with the team management and the team;
• Creation of ad hoc reports;
• Collaboration and communication with customers, other departments and team members, banks, auditors, lawyers, investment managers, or other stakeholders;
• Monitoring of payment transactions.

• University degree in finance/accounting or comparable training in accounting preferred;
• 3+ years of accounting experience in the general ledger area, investment, or corporate accounting;
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and accrual-based accounting;
• Fluent English and German (minimum B2 level);
• Good knowledge of MS Office;
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills;
• Client service and problem-solving attitude.
