Nadacia Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking to recruit a talented professional for the role of a Human Resources & Learning and Development (HRLOD) Assistant. In this role, you will provide operational and system support to the HR, Learning and Organizational Development (HRLOD) department to support the Area Offices of 2 regions – Europe and the Middle East (EME) and Africa (AFR). This is a great opportunity for the graduate who wants to learn how the whole HR and employee care works. This role will provide you an incredible learning experience by exposing you to non-profit work, international culture, relevant projects and experts in the field.Please note that this position is for a fixed period of one year and is to be based in Bratislava, Slovakia.WHAT WOULD BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES?
HR administration support and reporting
  • Ensure the accuracy of attendance records for payroll
  • Coordinate and ensure the accuracy of submitted Grant timesheets if needed
  • Support the team with related tasks to Performance Management
  • Support other administrative tasks according to the needs of the department
  • Occasionally administer relevant HR documentation
Employee support:
  • Manage the internship program and intern's lifecycle in Bratislava office (recruitment, orientations, exit process)
  • Assist our foreign employees with apartment search and cooperate with the real estate agencies
  • Manage the Occupational health and safety platform in Bratislava office
  • Coordinate health check-ups for all Bratislava staff
  • Support EME & AFR Employee wellness
Recruitment:
  • Support the department on the recruitment process as needed (advertising, shortlisting, interviews coordination, etc.).
  • Provide support with reference and background checks on selected candidates
  • Coordinate orientation process of newcomers
Learning and Organizational Development (LOD) support:
  • Support logistical oversight for LOD led events (staff meetings, trainings, conferences, HRLOD newsletter) including virtual meetings
  • Support onboarding process for AFR & EME staff
  • Support of training administration (roster management, coordination, etc.)
Other:
  • Other administrative tasks according to the needs of the department
  • Assist in the planning and logistical preparation of HRLOD events & activities, as required.
  • Research on current and future HR trends
  • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:
To thrive as an HRLOD Assistant at Habitat for Humanity, you should have:
  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Excellent communicator
  • Computer Literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), Powerpoint and the Internet.
  • Ability to assertively tackle issues and handle these from start to finish
  • Proactive approach and ability to work independently
  • Strong service and client orientation and professionalism in writing and speaking
  • Ability to prioritize and good orientation on detail
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to communicate effectively with people
  • Fluent in Slovak and English
