• Capacity planning, infrastructure scaling, launching and decommissioning infrastructure
• Elasticsearch cluster management, automation of administrative tasks
• Aiding in launching new services
• Identifying problems and possible technological improvements
• Monitoring services and alert settings, documentation of processes, playbooks creation
• Working hand in hand with search, recommendation and product team to bring out best in our services in terms of stability, reliability, resiliency and performance
• Participation in on-call rotation

• Being comfortable with UNIX toolchain, basic networking concepts, shell scripting and automation
• Proficiency in Ruby or Python, or other object-oriented programming language and willingness to learn something new
• Hands-on experience in deploying, managing, and scaling applications on Kubernetes
• Knowledge of our basic stack, which includes Terraform, Ansible, PostgreSQL, Redis, Memcached and AWS managed services such as Lambda, CloudWatch, Kinesis and S3
• Experiences in running ElasticSearch in production workloads
• Being comfortable helping with paying down our technical debts just as well as dreaming and creating for the future
• Fluent English and comfortability with writing down concepts, explanations and documentation

• You should have a mid-level experience, so you won't be surprised by what is required from production deployment or established product
