You will be part of a collaborative team responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing SSE platforms to ensure secure, efficient, and reliable network access for users across Swiss Re.Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior engineers to deploy, configure, and integrate SSE solutions with Swiss Re's existing infrastructure.
- Perform day-to-day monitoring and operational tasks related to SSE platforms - including policy enforcement, incident response, and health checks.
- Troubleshoot user access issues, URL filtering errors, SSL/TLS certificate issues, and policy enforcement gaps.
- Work closely with managed service providers to ensure SLAs are met and operational issues are resolved promptly.
- Maintain and update network and security configurations in alignment with best practices and internal policies.
- Participate in testing and validating new SSE features and updates in lab environments prior to production rollout.
- Document operational procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to ensure knowledge continuity within the team.
- Up to 5 years of experience in network engineering, security, or IT operations.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, proxies).
- Knowledge of security concepts including URL filtering, SSL/TLS interception, and threat protection.
- Awareness of cybersecurity risks and the importance of governed Internet access and breakout policies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for connectivity, performance, and access issues.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a global environment.
- Exposure to SSE platforms (e.g., Zscaler, Netskope, Palo Alto Prisma Access).
- Familiarity with automation and scripting tools (e.g., Python, Ansible).
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP Security, CISSP, CEH, or equivalent.
- Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related security best practices.
