Financial Analyst (IT, FR, ESP)

• Prepare, analyze, review, and submit VAT returns for France, Italy, Spain, and Sweden, including FRITES and SE VAT filings.

• Manage Intrastat and ECSL returns as required, ensuring compliance with regional regulations.

• Coordinate VAT registrations across various jurisdictions to support business expansion.

• Assist with VAT compliance queries from Amazon's international business units operating across EMEA.

• Map VAT processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance compliance efficiency.

• Prepare and review month-end VAT account reconciliations, proactively resolving aged items.

• Support internal and external audits through detailed data analysis and documentation.

• Provide VAT compliance support to internal teams, including accounting and tech departments, contributing to the development of tax requirement documentation.

• Lead and participate in cross-functional projects focused on automation and in-housing of VAT processes.

• Support business growth initiatives and onboarding of new entities into VAT compliance frameworks.

• Bachelor's degree in tax, accounting, finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in VAT advisory or compliance functions, with solid VAT knowledge.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel.

• Strong understanding of financial systems and technical accounting principles.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.

• Proactive problem-solving attitude and willingness to drive process improvements.

• Effective communication skills in English; proficiency in French or Italian is a plus.

• Recognized accounting or tax qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT, or similar.

• Experience with VAT processes in Cimatron or similar systems is advantageous.

• Familiarity with web server configurations such as .htaccess is a plus.
