We are looking for an Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team in Bratislava, Slovakia. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong work ethics, excellent English skills, and a desire to grow in a global environment.Purpose of JobAs an Accountant, you will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day accounting transactions and financial activities across various finance functions. This includes accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, fixed asset, treasury, and fixed asset management. You will also support the monthly, half-year, and year-end reporting processes, as well as assist with the annual external audit and tax returns.Key Accountabilities

Manage accounts payable and receivable processes (incl. VAT treatment) in SAP with adequate underlying supporting documentation
Preparation and posting of journal entries in SAP, review of subledgers and financial documents for accuracy, ensuring compliance with local- and Group accounting standards
Processing of regular payment runs and bank statements, preparation of cash flow forecasts
Fixed asset management according to accounting policy (acquisition, transfer and disposal)
Assist with the monthly preparation of VAT returns
Support on month-end, half year-end and year-end closing activities (GL, AP, FA, Provisions), intercompany reconciliations and Group reporting, incl. assistance on the annual external audit and preparation of the financial statements
Data preparation for credit analysis and credit insurance, maintaining of credit limits in SAP
Completion of mandatory statistical reports (Intrastat, National Bank, Statistical Office)
Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
Assist on accounting topics related to Slovakia and other international Sales Offices; be a link between the Finance function and other departments
Support the Manager Finance on ad-hoc tasks, projects and management reporting to support other business units or functions

Formal EducationDiploma in Accountancy or equivalentWorking ExperienceProven experience in Accounting and Finance (+5 years) in a multi-national companyRequired Personal and Professional Skills

Excellent knowledge of IFRS, local accounting standards and tax rules
Advanced understanding of accounting ERP modules and Financial Reporting systems (SAP, OneStream, PowerBI)
Sound business acumen and understanding of internal control in Corporate Governance
Very good MS Office knowledge, especially Excel
Good problem solving and analytical skills, sense of urgency and pro-activeness
Effective communication, cross-function networking skills & committed team-player
Advanced English language skills (spoken and written)
