- Provide technical support and leadership in a complex mission critical SAP environment
- Act as primary contact for customer for any operational and technical topics, including SAP technical consulting
- Lead and execute SAP projects and complex changes, such as new implementations, migrations, upgrades, conversions, maintenance activities
- Provide solution options and participate in high availability designs (HA/DR)
- Ensure supported components are maintained, optimized and used effectively
- Manage escalations of critical incidents (with root-cause in technical area)
- Define and setup monitoring based on standards in order to meet SLA’s.
- Manage ITIL processes (incident, change, release and problem management...)
- Handle Change Requests, acting as Change Manager, in process & in tools
- Participate in regular account review sessions with the customer and Account Service Team.
- Execute Project management for technical tasks / technical SAP project management
- Work with other domains to establish implementation plans for SAP changes, projects, backup and recovery
- Identify automation opportunities and drive their implementations
- Forecast and raise technology requirements based on technical and clients needs
- Manage/consult on the architecture and design of hardware and software within the client's environment.
- Ensure that technical system documentation is up to date (CMDB, Operational procedures)
- Provide internal SAP technical training for lower level teams
- 5+ years of related SAP Basis administration experience with SAP business suite / SAP Solutions
- Administrator knowledge of RDBMS: HANA, Oracle, Sybase ASE, MaxDB, MSSQL (HANA preferred)
- Experience with SAP and DB technical daily operations, SAP and database live-cycle management
- Experience with SAP implementation / migration projects from SAP Basis perspective
- Advanced experience in managing SAP / DB environment changes and upgrades
- Experience with system migrations, both Homogeneous and Heterogeneous
- Advanced Performance Tuning and Monitoring
- SAP Basis (Netweaver) Certified, HANA (or other DB) certified an advantage
- Experience with S/4HANA, BW4/HANA, Solution Manager, BO/BOBJ an advantage
- Strong Windows and Unix/Linux knowledge an advantage
- Network Skills (TCP/IP, NAT, DNS, Firewalls) an advantage
- Shell scripting capabilities an advantage
- Ability to professionally handle client requests, both on time and thoroughly
