Job description, responsibilities and duties
Working under the overall guidance of the Emergency Coordinator, and the direct supervision of Senior Programme Associate, the Project Associate (Camp Coordination and Camp Management / Non Food Items) will supervise and monitor the implementation of IOM's humanitarian assistance directly in the field.Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Work closely with the Senior Programme Associate, and maintain information flow on all stages of project implementation.
2. Assist with the organization of the distribution of NFI, identification and assessment of the
needs of beneficiaries and the collection of the required data;
3. Support the procurement process and distribution plans; manage administrative process of procurement and delivery; implement distribution, monitoring and reporting of distributed NFIs; communicate with regional teams and with distribution centres, and collective accommodation facilities.
4. Collaborate with regional teams, undertake and oversee assessments and distributions of NFIs to IDPs, host communities, and other affected communities across the country as required.
5. Support information management on housing contributes to identification and reaching out to managers of collective accommodation centres to establish cooperation;
6. Collect and track data services available at collective accommodation facilities
7. Keep abreast with development in migration and integration field, policies and projects
8. Organise and lead monitoring activities, including focus group discussions and post-distribution monitoring surveys for beneficiaries assisted directly by IOM and through implementing partners.
9. Train field staff, daily/hourly workers and partner staff on undertaking assessments, distributions and verification and on all IOM programmes.
10. Develop and maintain positive relationships with beneficiaries, area representatives, UN partners, local authorities to facilitate IOMs work in target areas.
11. Assist in any additional administrative duties as required for the project including preparation of PRs, PRFs and other tasks as required.

Special Short Term Contract, until 31 March 2024 with possibility of extensionGeneral Staff (GV, UN Salary Scale valid for the Slovak Republic since 1 Jan 2023). Step one of the salary scale corresponds to base salary 1,845.58 EUR per month (income is exempted from taxation).
6 weeks of paid annual leave per year (2.5 days per completed month of service).
24 days of paid sick leave per year (2 days per completed month of service).

EDUCATION
- High school diploma from an accredited academic institution with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or
- Bachelor´s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience in the humanitarian sector preferable and working with vulnerable individuals
- Experience in organizing events is an advantage
- Previous experience in data management and working with database is an advantage;
- Ability to organize and have tracking mechanisms in place, previous demonstrated ability is highly desired.
- Demonstrated ability in Excel and other tools are mandatory
