Position of the Executive Director at NL chamber is a part time and event-driven position with full commitment, peaking before/during events, but requiring less time on other days. Results is the key driver in this position.RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Fundraising/Sales: identification of relevant sponsors and dealing financial and non-financial sponsorship agreements (app. 10 events/year 5-40 sponsors/ event)
  • New member acquisition: identify potential members and execute new members acquisition (app. 10/year)
  • Event management: prepare event plan, plan and execute preparation of all events organised by the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce, prepare events in cooperation with other foreign chambers, embassies and other organisations in line with the event plan, during the year more events might be added (app. 30 events per year). The communication and organization of events could be both standard in-person as well as online/virtual, depending on the epidemiological situation.
  • Relationship management: development of contacts with members (app. 70) other chambers of commerce, embassies, companies and other national and international organisations, including development of contacts with suppliers
  • Financial management: issuing of invoices (app.30/mnth) processing of incoming invoices (app. 10/mnth), monitor the financial development on the Chamber accounts, execute payments, prepare financial planning, administering bookkeeping documents and coordinate the income tax statement preparation
  • Editing of magazine Bulletin, Directory of Members and other pubication: preparing the quarterly issued magazine Bulletin (content, graphical design) and other regular and non-regular publications
  • Communication: ensure internal and external communication via direct emailing (2-4/week personal communication and social networks (facebook, linkedin) (2-3/week) and other relevant communication channels, prepare articles for other cooperating magazines and media
  • Web administration: update www.netherlandschamber.sk on regular basis
  • Project management: coordinate preparation and execution of all projects prepared by the Chamber
  • Administration: monitor and administer all projects and activities of the Netherlands Chamber
  • Board meetings: coordinate and prepare board meetings and annual general meeting and prepare meeting minutes (app. 6/year)
  • Reporting: the executive director reports to president, vice-president and board members

  • University education (Bachelor’s degree)
  • University education (Master’s degree)
Language skills:English – Advanced (C1) and Slovak – Proficiency (C2)

  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, very good negotiation and communication
skills, very good presentation skills * Proactive, independent, creative and enthusiastic person, business oriented
  • Excellent written and spoken Slovak and English language
  • Experienced user of MS Office and social media channels
  • Knowledge of business and diplomatic etiquette welcomed
  • Person with good time management skills, meeting deadlines
  • Good knowledge about the Slovak economics and organisations in Slovakia
  • Basic knowledge of business administration
