Our tech stack is modern, our approach is forward-thinking, and our environment is built for innovation.YOUR MISSIONMaintain and enhance a complex legacy Java solution while leading its transition to a modern, scalable architecture using microservices and Spring BootDesign and implement cloud-native solutions (AWS), and contribute to system modularization and performance improvementsStay actively involved in hands-on coding, peer reviews, and problem-solvingDrive architectural decisions related to APIs, data flow, scalability, and system integrationChampion clean code, testability, and engineering best practices in an Agile/DevOps environmentCollaborate with product, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure technical alignment and value deliveryMentor developers and contribute to the evolution of the tech strategy and engineering cultureWHO YOU AREAn experienced Senior Java Developer with solid backend development skills and a strong grasp of modern engineering principlesYou already have architecture experience (solution or system-level), or you’ve been partially involved in architecture and are eager to step up and grow into a more strategic roleProficient with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservice design patternsExperienced with SQL and NoSQL databases, and comfortable working in large-scale distributed environmentsSkilled in cloud-native development (AWS), containerization, and integration of backend systemsA strong communicator and natural mentor who enjoys knowledge sharing and team developmentFluent in EnglishNice to have:Experience with frontend technologies (React, Angular, or similar)Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practicesExposure to Gen AI or AI-assisted tools in development workflowsPrevious experience in team or technical leadership rolesAlmost a match?Don’t worry—apply anyway! As required by the Slovak law we state, that the legal monthly minimum gross base pay starting from 3.300 - 4.600 € depending on your professional and personal qualifications in the required areas.Flexibility:
