NOVARTIS: Public Affairs Head

• Develop and implement a Public Affairs strategy in collaboration with Value & Access Head and Country President.
• Monitoring the country’s political environment and providing advice on its impact and opportunities for treatment availability, seeking to ensure a positive perception of the pharma industry and fostering trust-based working relationships with key national regulatory stakeholders, and policymakers, understanding their priorities & level of influence.
• Assure patient access to medicines across the Novartis Innovative Medicines portfolio through the creation and implementation of patient strategy and mutually beneficial relationships with patient organizations and related stakeholders.
• To provide the patient's perspective across all areas of the business and to develop patient-centric activities in compliance with internal and external policies.
• Represent Novartis within/across political/industry communities, associations
• Act as Novartis Ambassador, building and maintaining sound and stable relationships with all key stakeholders (government, regulators, thought leaders, NGOs.).
• Manage communication with external stakeholders and media.
• Cooperate with commercial teams to support external brand communication.

• Advanced Degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or Business
• Fluency in English and Slovak both verbally and in writing is a must
• Previous leadership experience in Market Access or Public Affairs function
• At least 10 years experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry with at least 5 years experience in Value & Access or Public Affairs in a Senior Leadership Role with a track record of achieving goals and understanding the business
• Ability to perform in a complex matrix organization
• Relationship with and influencing of policymakers
• Knowledge of public health policy, environments and system
