Job description, responsibilities and duties
Habitat for Humanity Area Office for Europe and Middle East (HFHI EME) is seeking a dedicated team member to join its Program department focusing on Central and Eastern European region. We are looking for a new colleague to serve as a Project Manager, who will be responsible for the management of new regional project and management and development of multi-country program that promotes increased access to affordable housing stock, consistent with HFHI standards and strategic goals towards sustainably serving more families around Europe.This position will be based in Bratislava, Slovakia, with travels up to 30% internationally. Work arrangement for this position is hybrid, and on flexible time schedule.WHAT WOULD BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES?
  • Reporting to Senior Project Manager, this position will be responsible for implementing multi-year and multi-country Empty Spaces to Homes project, which is a flagship project of the Affordable Housing regional priority of HFHI in the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region.
  • The position will work closely with the Senior Project Manager in the project management of the required project and with Associate Director of Housing systems on the content-side of the Empty Spaces to Homes program, as key strategy to expand provision of Affordable Housing across CEE and Europe geographies.
  • The position will coordinate with project partners to ensure respective deliverables and tasks are met in a timely and qualitative manner. The position will oversee the monitoring and evaluation of the project, ensuring monitoring frameworks for respective project.
  • The position will participate in the development of project proposals and plans, including working on scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines of the project proposals.
  • The position will represent the results of the project to external stakeholders and will coordinate with internal and external technical experts to provide technical inputs to key documents/deliverables of project.
  • Oversees budgetary implications and grants funding the project as well as internal funding allocation with financial reporting to donor (-in coordination with respective finance and/or Grant Compliance and Donor Reporting).
  • Coordinates and creates the report towards the donor of the given periods.
  • Contributes knowledge to other regional projects run by HFHI CEE and CIS program group under Senior Project Manager.
  • The position will provide programmatic management and technical guidance to the implementation of the Empty Spaces to Homes program around Europe with close coordination of Associate Director of Housing systems.
