We are opening a great new Operations manager position in our Presov Structurec Plant! You will be in charge of managing 4 departments like production, engineering, maintenance and press shop. In total you will have 4 direct and circa 300 indirect reports. You will also in charge of meeting the forcats whilst involving involving functional leaders through daily meetings and actions to ensure plant kpi's are met.
You will be responsible for developing CI culture by tracking and reporting key operational metrics, improving them continuously and ensuring A player direct reports..As Engineering Manager your responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
- Formulating annual objectives for each department by the cascading of corporate strategic objectives
- Formulating individual direct reports' objectives in line with operational objectives
- Monitoring objective achievement by performing regular reviews
- Supporting and providing assistance to all departments and individuals as required
- Assure the plant performance of the Plant having the right size of employees against the production hours to be delivered.
- Work in coordination with Engineering manufacturing department for the launch of the new projects into the Plant
- Monitor budget spending and initiate corrective action as required
- Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, security and plant maintenance regulations.
- Manage and support the quality standards of the operation in line with the overall • Management Systems., assuring IPPMs and Scrap values and assurance of processes
- Manage and Supervise Department staff.
- 5 years in Operations Management/Production Management/Management position
- Degree in Technology Management/Engineering Diploma/Production Management Diploma
- Industrial Relations; Financial Management; Interpersonal Skills
- Strong drive, determination and man management skills to lead from the front and get the best out of your team.
- Good knowledge of time trials, Line Balancing, material handling, automation, Poka Yokes, ergonomics, PFMEA, project planning and implementation
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- A strong understanding of Lean Production and continuous improvement principles
- Fluency in written and spoken English as well as Slovak Language is essential
