The European Alliance for Innovation (EAI), the largest European professional society in Information sciences and engineering, is searching for a Senior Conference Manager to participate in the organization and execution of conferences.The job offers international experience in over a hundred countries.
Work is in English and may include international travel.
Experience in scientific or academic based conferences as organizer or participant is an advantage.Specific Job responsibilities include:

Management of academic conferences in concert with marketing and publications departments;
Retention and growth of existing events and development of new ones;
Serving as main point of contact for volunteer event committee activities & initiatives to ensure effective communication;
Management of volunteer event committee with focus on branding and maintenance to ensure content quality, and high-quality volunteer support;
Coordinating promotion and dissemination efforts with the marketing department

Excellent English, ability to write business correspondence clearly. Ability to effectively present information in one-to-one and small group situations;
This position is suited to a self-motivated, professional person who can confidently work with a variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds. Diplomacy, tact and a sense of humor are important to the success of this person;
Good knowledge of standard software packages, including Word for Windows and Excel are a must. Experience with Adobe Creative suite, WordPress, and Social Media tools are a plus;
To perform this job successfully, we are looking for promising individuals with talent and interest in being proactive, work independent, be efficient in multi-tasking duties and good at following timelines. An advantage is an ability to build relationships with the research communities as a basis for successful conference execution through collaboration;
Working experience min 3 years is an advantage.
