- Bratislava, Bratislavský kraj
- Trvalý pracovný pomer
- Plný úväzok
- Define the automation roadmap for the Global Network organization across WAN, LAN/Wi‑Fi, firewalls, DC routing/switching, VPN, and DNS/DHCP/IPAM, aligned with reliability and operational efficiency goals.
- Build and operate the network automation framework, including:
- Source of Truth / intended state strategy (data model, data quality rules, synchronization approach)
- Configuration lifecycle: backup, rendering, deployment, and drift/compliance verification (intended vs actual)
- Pre-/post-change validation and automated testing to reduce change risk
- NetDevOps practices: Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, reviews, controlled releases for automation content
- Workflow orchestration and event-driven automation integrations where appropriate
- Enable internal Network teams (WAN/Edge/DC/Operations) with reusable patterns: templates, data models, job libraries, reference workflows, and runbooks.
- Integrate with external enterprise platforms (e.g., ITSM/service request flows, observability/monitoring, IPAM, cloud connectivity platforms) using APIs and well-defined integration patterns.
- Establish governance and standards for automation contributions (coding standards, documentation, testing gates, change/audit traceability).
- Measure adoption and value using clear KPIs (automation run success rate, change lead time, reduction in manual work, change failure reduction).
- 8+ years in enterprise networking and/or network automation with exposure across WAN/LAN/WLAN/DC/firewalls/VPN and core services (DNS/DHCP/IPAM).
- Proven ability to build automation frameworks/platform capabilities (not only one-off scripts) and drive adoption across multiple teams.
- Comfortable working across boundaries: translating Network needs to external platform teams (ITSM, Cloud, Infrastructure, Security) and aligning on interfaces and operating models.
- Required technical skills (automation-focused)
- Automation engineering: Python, Ansible (or equivalent), templating (e.g., Jinja2), structured data modeling and validation.
- Source of Truth & APIs: implementing/operating a SoT approach; strong REST API skills; integration troubleshooting; data synchronization mindset.
- NetDevOps: Git, peer reviews, CI/CD pipelines, packaging/release practices, quality gates.
- Change safety: automated pre-/post-checks, compliance checks, phased rollout patterns, rollback thinking.
- Networking domain knowledge (must have)
- Strong fundamentals in routing/switching and network security concepts; practical understanding of enterprise operations and change management across WAN/Edge/DC environments.
- Language / travel / on-call
- English required; German is a plus.
- Willingness to travel (up to 10% domestic and 10% international).
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
