- Analyses complex data elements and systems, data flow, dependencies, and relationships in order to contribute to conceptual physical and logical data models.
- Designs, builds, implementation and maintain the database structures to support business needs including integration of vendor database solutions into data environment.
- Contributes to the development of the capacity planning function to properly identify needed hardware, software, database configuration / architecture to support application / business needs.
- Manages the life cycle of multiple database tools by enabling smooth upgrades and/or installation and support of new capabilities.
- Data munging, manipulation, cleansing and blending from multiple data sources and exposure to various data types and storage paradigms including data mining.
- Works with data to solve business problems and build and maintain the infrastructure to answer questions with data.
- Develops and manages scalable data processing platforms used for exploratory data analysis and real-time analytics.
- Oversees activities of the junior data engineers, ensuring proper execution of their duties and alignment with business vision and objectives.
- possess strong expertise in cloud technologies (ideally Google Cloud Platform), including tools such as BigQuery, Dataform, BigLake, Vertex AI, Google Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer/Airflow, and Dataproc
- have solid knowledge of Python and PySpark
- bring experience in designing and engineering DWH/BI solutions, including data modelling
- understand data historization concepts and can apply them effectively
- have hands-on experience with DevOps practices
- are familiar with CI/CD processes using GitLab
- can work with UML for system and process modelling
- have practical experience with agile delivery frameworks such as LeSS or Scrum
- demonstrate a collaborative, agile mindset suitable for cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams
- show strong analytical capabilities, including the ability to recognize complex dependencies and communicate them clearly
- can design and implement efficient processes for integrating and consolidating heterogeneous data sources
- communicate confidently in English at a very good level (B2); German language skills are an advantage
- bring strong teamwork and communication skills
- have experience working in intercultural or nearshore project environments
- are willing to travel to and within Germany
- experience with meta-model–based frameworks (e.g., Innovator)
- skills in reporting and dashboarding with Microsoft Power BI
- knowledge of AI-based forecasting and predictive analytics
- experience contributing to end-to-end solution design for business requirements
