Don't miss this chance to join and support digital innovation for a global leader in heavy machinery!What will you do?As an AWS Engineer, you will provide support and problem resolution for specific products as well as:
  • Participate in analysis of client identified issues or problems which may require changes to infrastructure, configurations or documentation
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve common technical problems - escalate as per procedures.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production to identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues proactively.
  • Help clients improve infrastructure, identify bottlenecks and improve performance of systems
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for eCommerce platform systems
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated processes and tools to streamline deployment and release processes.
  • Implement and maintain system monitoring tools and dashboards to provide real-time insights into system performance and identify potential issues.
This position works directly with Slovakia based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT in the US.What you have:
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, QA, or related field.
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure and services.
  • Experience with IaaC solutions like CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Experience with CI/CD solutions - Github, Azure DevOps.
  • Proven experience and proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python (preferred), JavaScript (preferred).
  • Solid experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
Top candidates will also have:
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting solutions such as Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace
  • Experience with QA testing principles and tools - JMeter, K6, Selenium, Playwright
  • Knowledge of node.js, next.js and similar headless services
  • Understanding of tracing for modern applications – opentelemetry and similar
